Maximizing Maize Yields in Kenya
Maize is a staple crop in many households across the region. However, many small-scale farmers struggle with declining yields due to soil exhaustion and unpredictable weather. In this article, we explore how the Catalyst Gold line provides essential micronutrients during the vegetative and flowering stages. For Maize, Starter Max is critical in the first 3 weeks, followed by Nitro Max for vegetative growth. Our studies with local farmers show that adding Catalyst Gold Borzin Max during silking prevents grain abortion, leading to fuller, weightier cobs. Stay tuned for our upcoming workshop at the Strathmore Business School regarding sustainable maize farming.
